How to connect your AI assistant to your social media

Give Zoe access to your tools
Ask Zoe → App StoreBrowse the App Store, pick a tool, and either sign in or paste an access token. Zoe can then use it mid-conversation.

ChatGPT
Use the Other Tools tab
ChatGPT connects through the Other Tools endpoint — the same URL every MCP client uses. Custom connectors are available on ChatGPT plans that support them.
- 1In ZocialOne, open Ask Zoe → API Keys and create a key.
- 2Switch to the Other Tools tab and copy the endpoint with your key appended.
- 3In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors.
- 4Add a custom MCP connector and paste the URL.

Troubleshooting
Five things that account for most setup problems, and what fixes each.
The connector saves but no tools appear
Your client caches the tool list on connect. Remove the connector, re-add it, and restart the app. If it still shows nothing, the URL was probably truncated on paste — copy it again from Ask Zoe → API Keys.
“Unauthorised” or the connection is refused
Check the URL still has your API key on the end. If someone on your team deleted or rotated that key, every client using it stops working — generate a new one and re-paste.
Zoe says a channel is not connected
MCP reaches whatever your workspace has connected. If a social channel’s token expired, reconnect it in ZocialOne first — the MCP layer cannot reauthorise a platform login on its own.
A connected app returns nothing
Open Ask Zoe → App Store and check the toggle is on and the tool count reads as active. If the app uses an API key rather than sign-in, the key may have expired at that vendor’s end.
Posts are drafted but nothing publishes
That is the approval queue doing its job. Content created through MCP waits for your confirmation by default. Approve it in ZocialOne, or switch that channel to auto-publish.

Before you connect, know what you are granting
Your AI client never receives your social platform passwords, the key is scoped to your workspace, nothing publishes without your approval, and you can delete the key at any time to cut access instantly.
